An Update from Fairyland
A real live fairytale has occurred?Just five weeks after loosing their home, the four girls were dancing like fairies! While the backhoe operator looked at the house plans, I showed the girls where they would have a bedroom of their own. They began to dance among the rubble wearing broad smiles. Their physical stage was a shambles, but their imagination took them to fairyland! It is such a blessing that children are able to recover quickly. The kindness of others created this joy. Instead of waiting another year for a new home, the men are breaking ground today ? the backhoe arrived!!
Two boys have been digging the septic tank by hand - very slow work. Today, the backhoe will finish that job quickly! Then the footers will go in for the bathroom, parent's bedroom, and the girl's bedroom. The head stone mason says that the roof can be recovered, he is going to reinforce the original columns by making them twice as large. What was their entire home, will soon be their kitchen, dining room, and living room. The rest of this week, the foundation will be created using rocks found on the site as the basis under the concrete. The floor is going to be poured after the water and sewer lines are installed. Yes!! They are going to have water to their home. We are far from the end of this story. With your help, we will make this process a dream come true. The backhoe and the operator were donated. Does human nature, kindness, or love of others get any better? |
