Greetings! I just joined the forum and feel privileged to be among such an interesting group of expats. I've been reading through the threads for a while and enjoy the terrific information and resources that are available.

Most of my personal info is in my profile bio. My husband Scott and I are interested in taking a break from the US and immerse ourselves in Mexico for a while. I have spent a good deal of time in MX, have relatives in D.F., Queretaro and Pto Morelos, speak intermediate-ish Spanish, and LOVE Mexican food, culture, etc.

However, our last visit to GTO was in mid-2006. We have booked a trip to GTO and QRO (11/27-12/7) so we can see how things feel.

Are there any expat social events? If any of you are interested in getting together for coffee, lunch, dinner, etc. please PM me. We want to learn as much as we can while we are there, and appreciate experiences from those of you "on the ground."
