I haven't seen Blanket Man in a couple of months but he's back today. Maybe it's too wet where he usually sleeps. The old guy with the cane who is actually a nice friendly person reappeared. The lady who always has someone in her family who needs surgery came in and the young man who I am afraid of came to see me. I gave the young man some $. He's certainly the most able to work. I know he was the fifth, since I was counting, so one is missing.

Any idea why they all reappeared today after not coming in for so long?

I was rather surprised on how few (in fact none) times I was approached in Guanajuato. No Chicklet beggars, no pushy junk peddlers & only a couple of "Te' Marie's" sitting silently with their hands out plus pitiful looks.

Isn't a bit odd that some wealthy* ex-pats in GTO seem to have more compassion for street animals than destitute human beings?

Maybe we should 'walk a mile in their shoes' instead of showing discomfort that they are disturbing a Latte Lifestye in an otherwise Norman Rockwell/Walt Disney GTO?
