Local Author Wins Two Publishing Awards
Social Scientist and nonprofit administrator, Dr. Jacqueline Zaleski Mackenzie, will leave Guanajuato in early June for NYC. Due to the offer of housing by a friend, she has known from the age of 15, Jacquie will be attending the Book Expo America. BEA is the largest book fair in the USA. There, on Monday June 4th, her book - Empowering Spanish Speakers - will receive either the prestigious Ben Franklin Book Award for education and professional/technical. The awards will either be gold or silver in each of the two categories.
