Looking for a long-term rental

I'm retiring to Guanajuato in June. I'm coming down in April to lineup a long-term rental, furnished, 2+ bedrooms, preferablly a house, for myself and my two cats, in a safe quiet area.
Those of you who rent - how did you find your place?
Do you have any suggestions how I should go about it?
What's the going rate in town, Marfil and Valenciana for a furnished 2+BR house or apartment anyway?

Mim, We have an apartment which will be available about the time you are looking for a GTO long-term rental. Ours is new construction. Conveniently located at the Panoramica/Espinazo. This is a short walk to the Funicular/Pipila and then to the Centro. The Espinazo takes you to Embajadoras. The bus stops in front of the house/apartment, too. Views of the Bufa, Embajadoras, and the surroundings are delightful. Either a single apartment with one bedroom and bath, great room/kitchen....or two bedrooms and two baths....It's still in the finishing stages! Mim, I have a great house in trasl. Del Pateon, near las mommias, avail. April- oct. with panoramic views of Gto.
It is very big, with 3 bedr., 2 bath, an office, and another room which I will use as an art studio on the 3rd floor.
It is very quiet and safe, and one can drive there, so you can take a taxi home, although it's a dead end street, so quiet.
The 2nd floor has the bedrooms: the master br gives to a beautiful balcony, with a panoramic view of the city. On the 3rd floor, there is a huge deck with a 300 degree view of the city and mountains.
It is a 20 mn. Hike from downtown, away from the busyness, and in the sun all day, although the 5-year old house stays cool all day and night.
Well-cared for pets are welcome.
