According to the National Chamber of the baking industry, sales of Pan de Muerto make up 7% of annual bakery sales and the traditional rosca (wreath) sold in January even more at 10%. Two varieties of Pan de Muerto are for sale in Gto - the flat kind flavored with anis that looks as if has arms across chest and the round kind (several sizes) covered with granulated sugar.
