Very Sad News

I wish I was a poet so I could say this beautifully, but I am not and there is no way to say this other than bluntly. Yesterday Laura Hagler did not wake up. She died in her sleep. For her friends, it is so hard to accept. How could this have happened? We don't know yet. We have no information. But if you would like to contact her son in Atlanta, GA, I have his email address. Send me a private email and I will give you his address. I suspect we will have more news in the near future. Apparently she was at her home in Atlanta, but don't know what will happen with her home in Morelia or how we, her friends, can be of assistance to her sons. She was wild, and crazy, and whacky, and I loved her. She had a big heart. I can't accept this, but have to. I am so sorry to have to convey such sad news.

In response to all of the inquiries regarding "details", I've been directing folks to check her page on the funeral home website.

As of this message, there has been no "obituary" offered. If you go to the guestbook page, you will see that the only folks responding so far are from our community here in Mexico. Please, if you are so moved, leave a note for her family there. Jacki even posted a picture of one of her Laura memories. The funeral will be this Saturday, and after that I will begin plans with her Son for his visit here to handle her affairs. Already we have a lawyer and someone to translate and handle paperwork on board. If there is anything else we need in order to help this young man with a difficult task, I will come to you for help and/or advice.

If there are any folks in this group who are also in the GTO Yahoo group she belonged to, please feel free to copy and post my messages there.
