RE: Morelia Casita for Rent
Earth to Kay/Earth to Kay.......................... uggh I charge more than that (>$275/wk) in two of my GTO vacation apartments and they are among not only the lowest cost but best value and best located vacation rentals in GTO.
I haven't stayed in Jennifer's vacation rental but have stayed elsewhere in Santa Maria and its a great area. Its not central but as she mentions el Centro Historico is easily accessible. And besides for dinner you have to go to Hotel Villa Montana which would be a 5-10 minute walk for the wonderful food and the best view in Morelia (be there 15 minutes before sunset and sit outside facing the cathedral) - and once having done that and if the length of your stay permits several of Morelia's other better restaurants are near by - you may never need to go to el Centro other than to visit one of my other favorites, Fonda de las Mercedes In 1997 I rode my mountain bike to Morelia from GTO - actually didn't get a good vibe so after having a beer on the plaza I rode back [didn't even spend the night - I made it back as far as Morleon] - I guess I was tired from the ride as now Morelia is, along with Quer?taro, one of my favorite places in Mexico |
