The candy store in the Mercado Hidalgo has a lot of baking supplies, believe it or not. This is the store next to the corner grocery store (with the hanging candles) on the west wall of the Mercado. If you aren't successful there, try the store in the corner, against the north wall.
I have bought yeast in the bakery at Mega. You have to buy a whole bag, but it doesn't cost much. |
