In the Mercado Hidalgo, there is a tienda just inside the west entrance; it's the one that has candles hanging above the counter. There you can get all sorts of bulk spices, ground or not. Next to it is a candy store (owned by the same people), and in back of the candy store are all sorts of baking supplies including extracts. Further toward the corner is another tienda which has bottles of extracts, and they also have great jars of colored sugar for sprinkling pastries and cookies. You also might try La Coste?a which is on Ju?rez between Plaza Los Angeles and Mercado Hidalgo, on the south side of the street. They have party supplies and some products for baking.
