Interesting story - 1st you get robbed[or your account sort of ATM pick pocketed] and then the bank sticks its hand back in the pocket for 300 more.
I find one thing odd about the story:"...Saturday, January 29th, I noticed a card withdrawal noted on my HSBC bank statement for earlier that morning." I don't have an HSBC account - I gave up with them back when they were BITAL- so I don't know how they do their posting but my bank posts weekend transactions on Mondays [and as Mondays] not on Saturday or Sunday. ==== In GTO I have been shortchanged a couple of times at the ATM in the Santander/Serfin minibank ATM. My US bank just credits the amount back without much fuss. |
