Hello roberb7,
My girlfriend is growing milkweed in order to attract butterflies. She has loads of seeds and might even just give them to you. The Latin name, I believe, is Asclepsia. I've heard the word algodoncillo used for a small, white fluffy bug that I have found on my orange tree. Orf, if you have any artichoke seeds, we could do a trade.
