ETN Inapam/Senectud prices

Does anyone know if ETN will accept a Passport as Proof of Age to qualify for its INAPAM/Senectud discount?

Along with everyone else, ETN requires that you show your Inapam/INSEN card when you buy your ticket. Even if you can convince an unwitting agent to sell you a discount ticket by showing your passport, sometimes the ETN ticket taker will ask you to show your INSEN card again, before boarding the bus. They're getting wary about INSEN card holders buying discount tickets for other travelers.

I've been able to beat the system by buying bus tickets at Viajes Fraust o Guanajuato, between Teatro Juarez and Plaza de la Paz. They don't usually check for an INAPAM card as long as you look safely over 60.
Kasugle is correct in pointing out that the bus company can ask to see your INAPAM card before you board the bus, but I've ridden a lot of buses over the past two years, and they haven't asked to see the card before boarding once.

Why bother to "beat the system," roberb7? It's easy to get an INAPAM card, and it's free.

I agree wholeheartedly with Don. Why try to abuse a program that bends-over-backwards to be fair and treat foreign residents the same way as citizens ??????????

It's easy for ex-pats over 60 to obtain an INSEN/Inapam card.
