Memorial gathering for Ruth Steinberg

A memorial will be held for Ruth Steinberg at the home of Joan Hicks Romero on Saturday, May 17, at 5 p.m. Everyone who knew Ruth and wants to honor her memory is invited to attend. Besides your recollections of Ruth in her happy days here and any photos of her that you may have, please bring a dish of finger food or a beverage to share. Please share this message with friends of Ruth's who might not be on the either of the lists to which I am sending this message. Joan's address: Pastita 53B, next to the aqueduct that crosses Pastita; on the other side of the aqueduct is CFE's headquarters. Parking in that area is limited, so please plan to carpool.

If you cannot attend but wish to send us your anecdotes about Ruth, we plan to read them at the gathering and to send them to her family afterward.

I'm relieved to report that Ruth's cats, Max and Pablo, have found a home with Veronica Mares in Valenciana. Vero is a member of the board of Amigos de los Animales and a devoted dog and cat rescuer. She and her family will give Max and Pablo affectionate and conscientious care.
