U.S.Notary in GTO??? - Gigi Harrison - 08-25-2011 Is there anyone in GTO who is a U.S. Notary? Or, is the only option the Consular in San Miguel de Allende? Thanks, Gloria RE: U.S.Notary in GTO??? - doncoulter - 08-25-2011 Gigi, The services of a US notary are valid only in the state where he or she is licensed. In Mexico, your only options if you need a US notary are embassy or consular officials, such as Ed Clancy. One small exception to the above: Depending on the type of document you need notarized, you may find that the institution requiring a notary's endorsement will accept the signature and seal of a Mexican notario. The only way to be sure is to ask. Don |
