Visitor to US Travel Medical Insurance - MissMyBike - 09-23-2021
A Mexican friend will be traveling to the US for a couple of weeks. I am looking for medical insurance options for her in case of an accident or infection while traveling. I imagine this is no different than cases involving our US expats who are full-time residents of Mexico traveling back to the US for short trips. Any advice on options would be greatly appreciated.

The oddly named SquareMouth website offers travel coverage from various insurers. You can choose travel insurance in general or medical insurance only. When comparing policies, be sure to read the fine print. I've used the site for both myself (in my pre-Medicare days) and my wife, who is Mexican.

I've used Asegura Tu Viaje several times: https://www.aseguratuviaje.com.mx/
It's the same idea as SquareMouth; tell it where you're going, and it offers you a list of insurers, with various prices and levels of coverage.
I can't testify as to how good it is, because I've never had to make a claim.
