Santa Rosa Pottery - Izzenhood - 10-09-2020
I was wondering if any pottery experts would know the value of this piece. A local shop here in Colorado is asking $395. They claim it is an antique from a collector in Aspen. I have no intention of buying it, but I was curious. It is about 18" tall. I have visited the factory in Santa Rosa and don't recall pots of this size being that expensive, but I know nothing of vintage or antique mayolica. It is unusual to find any art or items from the Guanajuato area here in Grand Junction. Nobody here has even heard of Guanajuato, although a friend of a friend is reported to have moved to Valenciana.

We have bought similar items in Dolores from different fabricas. I guarantee you can buy identical for about $50 US at a source there.
