Hello all,
I am a Chiefs fan and so excited that we will be in the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years, but we will be arriving in GTO on Feb 1st, so I am trying to find out how I can watch the game. I read the thread about the NFL playoffs, and I saw a mention of Applebee's--is that in GTO? We won't have a car. Our internet capability is an unknown at the moment. Any ideas? Does anyone have the capability to watch it in their home and would like to invite me to come over :-) :-) :-)

The most comfortable is Applebees. Take the brown bus towards the Central de Autobuses and get off at TelMex, at the bridge over the roadway, and walk down about 300 meters. To get back go to the same bridge for the bus stop.
Hotel Luna will have it on inside at the bar. That's probably where we will go. A number of places on Plaza de la Paz and in Plaza San Fernando will have it on but they can be cold.

Surprisingly the SB is broadcast live here by both competing major networks, TV Azteca and Televisa. On Sky satélite it will be seen on these two plus ESPN Deportes. It should be easy to find viewing spots all over town. Seems to be by far the most followed US based sporting event down here.

Local street buzz points to Antik as potentially party central.

I just checked Antik's web site. They're serving carne asada for this occasion. I'm in!

Wherever one watched you saw a great football game. As a Chiefs supporter we especially liked those final 8 minutes.

Yes, key near-interception near the end by Kendall Fuller, followed by an actual interception.
For future reference... I left Antik during halftime, and as I was walking, Peter's Pizza had the game on, and a hotel bar on the next corner had it on, too. So, there's no shortage here of Super Bowl-watching venues. (We just need for more of these businesses to understand that the NCAA BCS championship is more important. :-) ) However, with three screens showing the game, it's obvious that Antik Cafe is clear on the concept.
