food for stray dogs - Sue100 - 01-05-2020
Someone had the great idea of putting a container for dog food at the "top" end of Embajadoras. I have noticed a lot of stray dogs up by la Presa so I copied their idea and put 2 buckets (water and dry food) and a sign up there. It is not close to where I live, though, so I don't get there daily. If anybody lives nearby and would like to contribute, that would be great.

I wonder how that will work because the first dog there is likely to take it all. We used to have neighborhood dogs every year, till they were caught by the perrera. I'd put out food every day but put it at a neighbor's house so they wouldn't come to my house. What we don't know is how many of them are just out enjoying their day and have a home to return to, and how many are just street dogs. It's true that many are out looking for food because, tho they have a home, they are treated very poorly. I hope this works positively.

Bravo. And i have noticed--since cold weather--more strays in town.
I'll start dropping off food at the tray in Embajadoras.
