maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - dermotwa - 03-06-2019 What is the maximum amount i can withdraw from an atm machine here in gto? Do some banks here have a higher limit? is it possible to get more if i enter the bank and talk to the bank manager?id appreciate any advice, thanks RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - doncoulter - 03-06-2019 The amount varies from bank to bank. I haven't tried every bank's ATMs, but I've recently seen limits of both 6,000 and 7,000 pesos. It's doubtful that a bank manager could increase the withdrawal limit for you, but I suppose anything is possible. The easiest way around such limits is to have ATM cards from more than one institution. RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - Winnifred - 03-06-2019 Try HSBC. That is where we’ve had the best luck. RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - MissMyBike - 03-06-2019 I regularly withdraw $7,000 at the Scotiabank twice back to back for $14,000. I haven’t tried pushing my luck further! RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - datgnat - 03-06-2019 I recently failed to get 8,000 from the Bancomer ATM at Pozuelos, but it gave me 7,000 on the second try... RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - Victor David - 03-07-2019 Banamex limit is 6000 pesos. You can go in the bank and withdraw more. You'll need your passport. I'm talking about my experience with my Banamex account. If you're looking to connect through to a foreign bank like many ATMs do, I don't know if going in the bank will help. RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - The Duck - 03-08-2019 There are two limits: your card's limit and the atm's limit. You can usually get the card limit increased -even to an unlimited daily limit as I did with my US bank once. Also worth noting is that the same bank issued card can have different limits depending on the card holder's status with the bank.Only your bank can tell you the daily limit on your card. The atm limit is fixed but may vary 1000 pesos or so depending on the atm's bank owner. Handy to know which is the most generous but there will really be no substantial difference. You won't be able to do anything about it by talking to the bank manager. So your best bet are the workarounds other members have suggested: multiple withdrawals or trying machines from other banks (there is a good selection of machines in one location at the Mega) but you also run the risk of having your card retained if you make an excessive amount of attempts,. The question arises -why do you need to know? It would be helpful to know and perhaps members could give you alternate suggestions. Are you planning a major purchase that requires cash -if not why not charge on your credit card if you have one. or alternately plan ahead and start withdrawing several days in advance while stashing your accumulating funds under your mattress or some other safe place. RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - jesm - 03-09-2019 Santander's ATMs post a note of 8600 limit per day. I have never tried to max but do get 6,000. RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - Winnifred - 03-09-2019 I always take $10,000 at the HSBC. I’ve never tried for more. I don’t have an account there. I just use my Debit card from Canada. RE: maximum i can withdraw from an ATM machine? - Sue100 - 03-13-2019 Pretty sure I have taken $10,000 from the Caja Popular next to Domino's Pizza at the bottom of Sangre de Cristo near Cafe Tal. (I guess the street is actually Sostenes Rocha, not Sangre de Cristo.) |
