I'm trying to figure out how to get groceries. I don't have access to a phone unless I have internet connection (magic Jack) so I can't walk out to a road and use the Uber app. I'm wondering if I catch a passing taxi somewhere and have them drop me at La Comer, will there be taxis hanging around outside after I finish shopping? I'm don't want to be stranded with bags of groceries. Thanks!

Definitely. You will have no problem finding a taxi.

The most difficult time to find a taxi is between 1:30-3:30pm,más o menos.
Schools empty during this window so heavy demand and drivers switch shifts at 3pm so most cabs go back to central garage before starting new shift.
Yes, taxis in and out continuously in front of La Comer.

If you are talking about the one in Pozuelos, formerly Mega Pozuelos, there is usually a man in a wheel chair on the lower floor of the parking lot with a walkie talkie who calls a cab for you. You roll your cart out on the lower floor and sit on the park bench by the guy in the wheelchair after you tell him to order you a cab and one will arrive. You save your grocery receipt to give to the cab driver to give to the toll booth so you hopefully won't have to pay the taxi to exit the lot. You get it back after the toll booth processed it.
*** Also, getting there you can walk to Pozuelos by riding the funicular to the top and taking a left walking down the panoramica to Mega Pozuelos and then shopping and taking a cab back. You can also catch any bus that says Mega or Pozuelos to get there.

Thanks for the info. That's funny about the man in the wheelchair--I saw him and thought he was waiting for a taxi, too--I felt badly when he wouldn't get in the taxi when it pulled up, because clearly he had been waiting there before I was!
