I need to get quite a bit of money out of my CS account via ATM to pay for a car repair. Can anyone comment on which bank allows the highest withdrawal? Thanks!

In my case, Scociabank has a partnership with my US bank, Bank of America, for less ATM fees. I have withdrawn a maximum of $7,000 Pesos, twice back to back, several times.

That is a total withdrawal of $14,000 pesos per ATM visit!

Our experience at Santander shows a daily ATM max of 6,000.

We bank with USAA in the States and can withdraw up to $600 USD daily. We always withdraw from CiBanco. Never had a problem.

I just withdrew 15000 pesos at once from the Caja Popular at the bottom of Sangre de Cristo next to Dominos Pizza. And the fee was only 17 pesos.

It may be that the daily cap on checking account withdrawal is the amount controlled by your financial institution.
For example, you might want to withdraw $18000 pesos but the Mexican bank ATM limits you to $17000.
Now continue to withdraw the $17,000. Next re-insert your bank card into the ATM and make your second ransaction for $1000.
Thus you get the total amount you wanted, $18,000 (as long as the total is below your bank's daily withdrawal limit).
