pet relocation company - Ann001 - 05-04-2018
Does anyone have a company they used to transport pets from USA to Mexico via air that they can recommend? I've heard there is a company that also 'transports' the owners--ie takes care of their transport from USA home to the airport and from BJX to door of new home. Debating driving from east coast to GTO vs flying.

We used Animal Land Pet Movers. They were excellent, and moved our 4 cats to Guanajuato for us. We were in the process of selling our home in the US, and closing on our home here in Guanajuato, plus having our belongings and furniture moved down here with another company. It was an extremely hectic time for us. They took a lot of that stress off of us by handling our kids - i.e., our cats - with no hassles or problems.

Thank you so much! I'll contact them for an estimate. Did you have someone to pick up your cats in GTO or did you coordinate your flight to match that of the cats? I'm going to be selling my house too--it IS hectic in the extreme!

We were leaving out of Atlanta to fly down here. We lived in Nashville, but decided to take them with us to Atlanta, and left them with the pet movers there. At that point, they handled everything. They could have picked them up in Nashville, had we requested, but of course that would have been an additional flight and cost.
We had requested that they room and board the cats for an additional day or two, so that we could get our house in Guanajuato set up for their arrival, with things like litter boxes, food, and cat supplies.
They flew the cats down to Mexico City, and had personel that works with them in Mexico City, drive our cats up to Guanajuato. We had everything ready for them when they arrived.
They handled everything, including customs, etc. Also, while our cats were with them, they would send us pictures daily, and give us updates each day as to how they were doing, and where the cats were at each step of their journey. It was more than worth using their services.
