We want to say "Thank You" all who have written to inquire about Jolene Gailey's art opening scheduled for this coming Wednesday. Since August she has missed many events in GTO as her time was instead spent in front of her easel. Last Friday she learned that the gallery is unable to open the show as scheduled and a new date is undetermined.
Therefore, this is an option for each of you to have a nice piece of original artwork without a middle man price tag. Jolene has been studying art in the USA, Italy, Columbia, and Mexico her entire adult life. She was in Southwest Art Magazine twice in one year and has won awards for her work.
This show was to be titled "The Faces of Mexico's Future" but there are not simply oil portraits available, also are many landscapes and animals. They are all framed, but can be purchased without the frames for a lower price. Original oil prices range $900-$11,250 pesos ($72 USD to $887 USD); there also prints and drawings at lower prices. Jolene welcomes custom pieces in pencil, charcoal, oil or murals created to your specifications.
All net proceeds go to benefit nonprofit programs offered in rural Guanjuato for local children including but not limited to equine therapy for the disabled, cultural research, free-swim classes, art classes, English language classes and library constriction.
