Buses to Leon - Mikel1 - 03-25-2017

Does anyone know if Flecha Armarillo or Metropolitano buses to Leon have the option to bring back items that would be stored below like a Primera Plus or ETN bus?

Planning a trip to Leon to do some hardware / lighting shopping for the house we are building and don't have a car in GTO. Planning to get to the bus station, cab it to the store and them bus back to GTO and didn't want to drag a bunch of boxes onboard the passenger portion of the bus. I won't be back until April, or I'd just head to the bus station to ask.

Thanks in advance!

Mike

The Metro diffidently has lower storage as I have seen it used. I suspect all lines do.

All Flecha and Metropolitano buses have storage below for luggage, boxes, or whatever. But, you will more-than-likely need to stow and retrieve everything by yourself. Likewise, there is no baggage claim check nor security. But, I've never encountered a problem.

If you're getting on or off at points other than the central bus terminals, you also need to tell the driver you're putting in/retrieving luggage, so he'll stop long enough for you to do this, and (on the Metropolitano) he can also unlock the luggage compartment from the dashboard.

And more specifically, the Metropolitano buses stop a block away from Centro Max, where Home Depot and Costco are located. When I've purchased more stuff than I can carry, I asked one of the parking lot security guys to follow me to the bus stop. Then, I could transfer the contents of the shopping buggy directly to the cargo bay of the bus. Then the security guy could return the buggy.

Thanks everyone! I appreciate your replies, very helpful. I don't want to duplicate my bus experience in Jalisco when I bought a granite table top and had to haul it up into the passenger seating. I got a lot of odd looks and laughs for it. SMH.
