House Trade? - Izzenhood - 02-21-2017
Wife and I would like to spend a month in Guanajuato in Jan or Feb 2018 and are interested in a house trade.
We're in western Colorado, 45 miles from Powderhorn ski resort and 120 miles from the big resorts.
We would want something in El Centro with a short climb. Our house is 2BR, 3 bath, nice, safe neighborhood.

I know nothing about house trading or swapping. However I am now in the middle of my 5th visit to GTO having always paid well under $300 US a month for a quality apartment including utilities & WiFi. I am currently for the third time staying just off Paseo de la Presa (near the old governor's mansion) a most excellent area.
With those kind of prices I would be very hesitant to turn over my home in a swap. Please feel free send me a PM if you wish leads on a apartment.

That is good advice, and I would appreciate leads on apartments or a house rental. We plan to take spanish classes for a month so, perhaps Escuela Mexicana or Adelita, and wanted to be closer in than the Governor's Mansion. I've also wondered what its like heading home late from El Centro up Paseo de la Presa. Is there ever any trouble heading up that way at say 10 or 11 PM? That would be very rare for us but you never know.
