Brazen Robbery in La Presa de la Olla
My next door neighbor and i live in a secure
building. Two locked gates must be opened
before accessing the passage way between
our apartments.
About 1.30pm today a dark, Mexican man
knocked on my neighbor's door asking if
she knew where our landlady might be.
This was unusual but even though it was
Sunday my friend assumed the man to be
one of the workers that sometimes are on
the premises. He asked for the landlady
using her first name.
My neighbor told him she did not know
where to find the landlady if he had not
found her at home (in one of the lower
apartments). The man went away.
But he returned in a few minutes asking
if he might borrow my friend's cell phone
to make a call to the landlady.
The neighbor handed him her cell phone
and like a shot he ran off with it.
We think the thief must have had keys
to both the front gate and the passage
gate.
