Hello. New to the area and very much looking forward to participating in the forum.
Would love any suggestions/recommendations for celebrating Dia de los Muertos in and around Guanjuato.

Thanks Roberb7!. I was able to locate that (by the Museo de Momias, yes?) and will definitely plan to go there on Monday.
I have talked to some locals and they said that it is mostly spontaneous and unplanned over the weekend. They said our best bet was to just go to el centro and walk around, so thats what we shall do.

Sorry, I confused the month. The Madonnari Festival is November 28-29.
