smashed iPhone 5 repair - hodgebarton - 03-01-2015
Just dropped my iPhone 5 on the lovely tile floor and smashed the screen. Any idea where I can get this repaired in GTO? {Phone still works, but home button doesn't)

A small place, soon to expand, in the Embajadores. Just west of the liquor store on the main street going down to el centro. Very reasonable prices.

Actually after a few false starts, I got the iPhone repaired in Leon. One false start: The Mac Store in Plaza Altacia which doesn't do repairs and in fact, seems only peripherally related to an Apple Store.
The repair was made at H.A.R.O. (www.haro.com.mx) The HARO rep responded to an email I sent (ventas@harosolutions.com) w/ cost of repair1450$ pesos for screen replacement and 500$ for new home button. After finding the stall (Local #81 -- back right corner of the center) at the Plaza de Technologia in Leon, the clerk who seemed to be perplexed until I showed him the email I received a few days before, accompanied us in a cab (70$ pesos) to the "workshop" which was at Blvd. Antonio Madrreno (? - print is unclear) #6642, Local 3, which is like a garage-type bldg. There the tech person repaired the broken screen in less than 30 min. for the price originally quoted in the email. She said that the home button was not really broken, so no charge for that. :-) Everyone was happy!

Can guarantee that the cost for fixing fon at the location in Embajadores would be much cheaper, and much closer than going to Leon and back.
