Baseball in Guanajuato - Snowbirds - 02-18-2015
We've walked by the city's interesting looking baseball stadium, and want to attend a
game there. I was told that Sunday afternoon was the time to do this, but am having
trouble confirming this information. Can anyone give me more details? I would
appreciate it very much. We're running out of time here, and don't want to miss it.

By accident saw a game being played one day last week. t was the U. of GTO vrs Tech of Celaya.
Stayed for about 3 innings but as the score board was not used not sure of the score. Believe UGTO scored around 7 runs including a homer & a double or two while I was there.
Excellent hitting with the aluminum bats & decent fielding But man could they use some base running coaching from Hall of Famer Rickey Henderson!
I to would like a schedule but saw nothing posted at the stadium.

It's not clear to me when they're actually playing a game there. March 17 vs. Vaqueros de Laguna? They're definitely going to play a game in Silao on the 23rd.
Last year, they were posting a schedule in front of the church across the street from Mercado Hidalgo.

There's a schedule posted across the street from Mercado Hidalgo now. There's 14 teams in the Municipal League, and there are games at 3:30 PM Tuesday-Saturday, and 8:30 and 11:30 AM on Sunday.
It's looks like I got the March 17 date for the exhibition game wrong. Instead, there's a game between the Vaqueros de Laguna and the Acereros de Monclova on the 15th. (These same two teams are playing in Silao on the 16th.) More interesting is a game between the Rieleros de Aguascalientes (our closest pro team) and the Sultanes de Monterrey (one of the Mexican League's high-budget teams) on the 17th.
The info I gave for a game in Silao on the 23rd is correct.
