Can anyone recommend a halfway decent restaurant in el centro of Irapuato? (I'm a veggie, but I'm perfectly content eating enchiladas mineras preparadas con queso.) Gracias.

Hi Luisa, When you first posed your question I was unaware thet you wanted vegetarian - I have lots of good carnivore suggestions like the Hacienda de las Torres where they have 3 if not 4 different styles of Rib Eyes.
For enchilasda mineras - there is a big clean place across from the bus station that I've eaten in several times and they might be able gto do it - or if you are going to the main market place there are lots of eateries. Or for something different you could go to the International Gastronomy School where they have an open dining room - maybe call ahead and see if they can do veg?
