I have decided to edit my post and reduce it just to a notice of the fact that I was banned without warning on the other list. I look forward to the welcome this forum offers.

Hi Martha, Thanks for your support. Indeed this list seems more professional and right fromt the get-go it is upfront and says that it is Open to All . There are a lot of good features here too like being able to preview a post before you make it thus maybe preventing a faux pas or two and the forum seems to have a structure that prevents thread hijacking - the issue I was commenting on that got me banned on the gmaillist.

me too..I was never a member it just started coming in my email one day..
