Looking for a used car - KenMacD - 12-05-2012 We feel that we are ? or very soon shall be ? in such a frame of mind as to want to purchase a car, to wit: basic, but of course comfortable and serviceable cheap, but reliable, naturally from some lovely, sympathetic person or persons of noble, non-dastardly character. Ken and Gregg 731-2676 RE: Looking for a used car - stephen carew - 12-06-2012 Ken. I might be selling my Mazda 6. It is nice car and perfect for Mexico. It is a 2006 four door model in great shape, new tires and sporty. Great car for around town and also very good freeway car. I also have a beautiful US style couch, three beautiful wrought iron /glass living room tables, a large original Mexican painting and assorted wall mirrors and art work for sale. Please let me know. Stephen Carew RE: Looking for a used car - The Duck - 12-06-2012 It might better to consider buying a "Mexican" car. If you buy a US reg car that is under a temp import permit then the owner would need to do a border run to cancel the permit* and then complete the sale. Next you'd have some delay while waiting to get a new title in your name - and of course you'd also have to go to the border to "import" the car under your name. *of course you could ignore all the hassle here and if life goes smoothly who is to know? But should something go wrong, as I understand it, liability remains with the holder of the temp import permit. |
