Alternative Ambulance Service in Gto - srmisterio - 08-22-2012 We've heard many different evaluations of Cruz Roja service in Gto. Does anyone know of an alternative, perhaps with trained EMT staff, oxygen, etc. that will transport patients to ?ngeles in Le?n? Just trying to gather information. Jeff RE: Alternative Ambulance Service in Gto - cam00 - 08-22-2012 You can check with Hospital General (473) 733 15 76 RE: Alternative Ambulance Service in Gto - The Duck - 08-23-2012 Sr Mistero - if I can read between the lines here you are now gathering info so when the time comes you can call a well equipped ambulance service to transport a patient to a private hospital in Leon some 50-60km away from Guanajuato. Look at your post [elsewhere on the web] re SUEG where it says: "...Si se presta servicio a particulares incluso a instituciones hermanas pero solo en situaciones de extrema urgencia pero siempre hay prioridad para las instituciones de la Secretar?a de Salud." I don't think they'd be the folks to call and if you did your call would be routed through CRUM [Centro Regulador de Urgencias M?dicas] and you may just end up with the Red Cross. Calling SUEG would be calling upon a free public resource [designed for disasters/car crashes etc] for personal ends. You'd be at the back of the line and that is not what you want in an urgent situation. To get what you want follow Mr Bill's suggestion that can be found on page 11 of the 2012 yellow pages. RE: Alternative Ambulance Service in Gto - NanN - 08-23-2012 I'd say the first thing you want to do is choose your private hospital - and it sounds like you've done that as I assume Angeles is a private hospital? They should be able to refer you to the ambulance service that they prefer to use. I was once a ride along for language translation purposes in a Cruz Roja ambulance from Barra de Navidad to Manzanillo and the major topic of conversation was which of the private hospitals the patient wanted to be taken too. I wound up directing them to the first one we came to because the man had emphysemia and the ambulance was not equipped with oxygen - though there was plenty of fresh air since a side window was punched out. The Cruz Roja guys were great but their equipment was far below what it should have been. |
