Is anybody going to New Mexico? - Barbara - 07-12-2012

Hi everyone,

Some of you might remember Sandra Wright, who lived here for a few years and moved to Thailand about two years ago. She thought she might come back to Guanajuato, but now it looks like her heart and home are in Thailand. Anyway, Sandra stored some things at my house and would like to have some of them -- probably just enough to fill a small box or suitcase -- a few clothes, some jewelry, a book, a pair of boots, some CDs and maybe a small, portable printer.

Sandra will be in New Mexico from September 5th - October 21st. Her sister lives in Santa Fe and her daughter lives in Albuquerque. I am going to look into mailing her things to the U.S. by DHL but I know it will be very expensive. If you are driving or flying to either Santa Fe or Albuquerque any time between now and mid-October and are willing to take a small box or suitcase, please let me know. My email is barbaradavoli@hotmail.com.

Thanks!

Barbara

Barbara - I think if anyone can mail from anywhere in US it will work fine as Flat Rate Priority Mail

and if she can forgo the printer which should be readily available at a base market price in any Thai computer mall like Panthip Plaza in BKK (and there are similar in any provincial capital town) it would make the shipping cost less.

Thanks, Duck, for both ideas. My first idea was that somebody might remember Sandra and want to see her in NM. I think the more we get into this, she will probably realize that it's easier to buy a printer there, download music, and let go of possessions, as most of us did when we moved here. Sandra lives in the north, in Chiang Mai and I don't think she spends much time in Bangkok, but I'm sure that it would be easier and cheaper just to buy a printer there. Thanks again for your advice.

Thanks, again, Duck! The link to Chaing Mai is great, and I'll forward it to Sandra.
