Another Open Mic Night - colleen - 02-22-2012
We'll be celebrating our extra day in February this year (next Wed, the 29th) by holding another Open Mic Night at Donkey Jote from 7-9PM. As in January, writers are invited to read from their works. We had 11 writers and many more listeners and hope to see all of you again. Please come down to Donkey Jote bookstore at Positos #30 on the corner of Positos and Juan Valle. Main entrance is behind the Diego Rivera statue on Juan Valle.
Please let me know if you think you will attend. I'd like to rent some chairs. It sounds nice to say "standing room only" but many of us stood for the entire evening. We enjoyed snacks and Agua Jamaica. I'll make snacks again and add some iced tea. Anyone who would like to bring a dish to pass is welcome to. A couple of people shared some wine. That was also very nice.
