Washing-Machine Repairman Recommended
Posted on behalf of John Eudy:
When our 15 year old washing machine stopped working I asked around for a repairman. Sr. Martin Sandoval Mercado was recommended to me. I called him and he and his helper arrived on the time agreed. They examined the wounded machine, made a diagnosis, gave me a quote, and returned 2 days later to 'fix' the machine. They were punctual to their arrival to the minute. In the meantime I went to several YouTube tutorials on washing machine repair and with my self-anointed degree in washing machine repair I watched the two men dismantle, clean all parts, and re-assemble the machine. They used all brand name parts. Within 90 minutes they had the machine running like new, the charge was reasonable, and they followed repair procedures just like in the YouTube videos. Sr. Sandoval's telephone number is 732-7720 and Cel. 044-473-118-1742. |

RE: Washing-Machine Repairman Recommended
The " Maytag man" for Guanajuato is Geraldo at Technimax
732-5903 Spanish only - he can service any major appliance/any brand. Insurgentes #5 He and his son, Geraldo II are very thorough and will explain what needs to be done and why you need to do it - even to the point of saying as he did to me this afteroon, "replace the washing machine" (he also told me this last year - now I really have to do it) ![]() |

RE: Washing-Machine Repairman Recommended
Don/John - does Martin Sandoval have both of his hands? We have had 2 guys at the house and one, who repaired a Whirlpool washing machine twice in the 6 years we had it (same plastic crappy part that broke) had only 1 hand when he returned the 2nd time. He did ok on the washing machine but gave us horrible advice re the fridge from Liverpool that also quit working in only a few years. He was so kind to offer to take it away for us so we wouldn't have to go to the trouble. This was the guy recommended by the appliance store at Pozuelos. Then there was the other guy who was great. He repaired the fridge relatively easily and went out of his way to be at the house when he said and do what he promised and for reasonable prices. So tell me that Martin is the guy with 2 hands and I will second your recommendation.

RE: Washing-Machine Repairman Recommended
When I bought my place, I was told by the previous owners that everyone had trouble with top load washing machines. Is it true? Mine just keeps on draining. I don't have much water pressure to start with, so it takes forever. I don't want the pain of going back and forth to the laundromat to do my laundry. Or is it worth calling the repairman?
