Where to Catch a Bus to Santa Rosa de Lima (on the way to Dolores Hildalgo)? - WriterinExile - 10-11-2017

Does anyone know where to catch a public bus from GTO to the town of Santa Rosa de Lima (about 13 kilometers from GTO on the road to Dolores)? I know buses run there but I have no idea where they can be caught. Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure where the bus comes form or starts its route, but you can catch it on Calle Alhondiga, a bit above the Dos Rios glorieta (little traffic circle). The stop is in front of an large, stone Hacienda across the street from an Oxxo store.

You might be able to catch it further down on Alhondiga street; I know the bus to Valenciana stops in front of a tiny store called LA COSTENA, across the street from the (now back stage) of the Alhondiga. You could go there and start asking unless you get a better answer here.

You can also catch it in front of the Cantador mall, the new one with Office Depot and Aurrera.

I took the bus today. It cost 8 pesos. Not bad for a 30 minute ride to Santa Rosa. Between the two bus stops mentioned in previous posts, the bus can be also gotten across from the Museo de Ahlondiga (where the performance shell is now erected for Cervantino). Not sure how often it comes by, but I caught it at 2:30, only 6 minutes late :) From there is drives up to the next stop, above the glorieta and across form the OXXO. FYI.

Does this bus carry on to Delores Hidalgo? Elaine and I plan to go there this Tuesday. This bus Used To carry on some years ago, but I cannot find any information on-line to verify this. The on-line ticketing site for Flecha Amarrilla (https://transportamex.com/autobuses/flecha-amarilla/) does not list any direct buses. All we can find on-line is a three-hour trip that first goes to Leon.

Thanks for any info.

The answer is yes, and some of them carry on to San Luis de la Paz.
